If you’re new to San Antonio and you like getting out to enjoy the action, you’re going to fall in love with this city. San Antonio might not have the nightlife of New York or the glamour and glitz of Los Angeles, but its certainly got a style that’s all its own. San Antonio events, in fact, are nearly nonstop all year long. From music festivals to unique attractions, residents of San Antonio apartments never run out of things to do.

If you’re looking for a party in Texas, you might want to check out these events:

The First Friday Art Walk – Head to Southtown on the first Friday of each and every month for this major event featuring live performances, food, music, art and plenty of fun.

The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo – This major event generally takes place in late January and early February. It includes major rodeo performances, live bands, tons of food, a carnival and more.

Remembering the Alamo – Of all the San Antonio attractions, the Alamo might be the most famous. If you want to get out and really celebrate the past, March is the month to visit. During the annual event, the history of the Alamo is highlighted as those who died in the siege are honored. The event includes a recreation of the events in Alamo Plaza.

Fiesta Arts Fair and Fiesta – A San Antonio tradition since the 1800s, this event is a 10-day celebration that takes a hold of the entire city. During Fiesta, you will find carnivals, fireworks, plenty of food, art displays, shopping, live entertainment and more. Fiesta takes place in April each year.

Juneteeth – This event recognizes the day that Texas’ slaves were told about the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth runs for several days in the month of June (around June 19) and includes a festival, freedom celebrations, a picnic and more.

Living in San Antonio apartments will give you access to a calendar that’s jam packed with special events. While this city might not have the jet setting appeal of New York or LA, it moves to a beat that’s all its own!
